BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Western New Yorkers were invited to give their two cents about where the Buffalo Bills should play after they're through with Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Thursday night's discussion at the ECC downtown campus was set up to talk about a future stadium for the Bills. Many support bringing the team back within the city limits, even a marquee downtown stadium.
Pat Freeman of the Greater Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Complex said, "70 percent private, 30 percent funded. The onus is on the Greater Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Complex, not the taxpayer."
The company says the Bills and local lawmakers need to start planning now for a stadium that will keep the Bills in Buffalo well into the future under new ownership.
