BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The new superintendent of Buffalo schools met a lot of new faces Thursday night in Buffalo's Hispanic community.
Dr. Pamela Brown was the guest of honor at a welcome reception at D'Youville College hosted by school board vice president Ralph Hernandez.
"It's important to get out and meet members of the community and to find ways to connect with individuals and groups that can really join with us and make sure that Hispanic children and all children are successful in our schools," Dr. Brown said.
The new superintendent is fluent in Spanish.
