BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A colorful festival is hitting the streets of Buffalo.

Chalk artists have made the 500 block of Main Street come alive for western New York's first ever "Chalkfest." The creative event is being put on by the 500 Block Association, a group of businesses, artists and Buffalo residents who want to revitalize Main Street, and features artists of all ages.

Chalkfest runs until 9 p.m. Saturday night and again on Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
