BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It might be hard to believe, but a 235-pound professional wrestler was once bullied.
Former Mixed Martial Arts fighter and WWE wrestler Daniel Puder stopped by Buffalo United Charter School on Monday. He's taking part in a program that recognizes serious issues students face today, and focuses on a positive approach to bullying.
"I was in special education as a kid. I had learning disabilities, so my comprehension rate was very slow. I was picked on, bullied, standing up in front of class and I can't read right," Puder recounted.
The program includes a different celebrity PSA each week, teaching students how they set and achieved goals.
