BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Ten people from Buffalo were recognized Thursday for their commitment to the arts and their Hispanic heritage.
People at City Hall enjoyed live music and dance during the afternoon ceremony. The executive director of the Commission on Citizens Rights joined Mayor Byron Brown to honor the artists and their achievements.
"We have so many different cultures to be proud of. Our ethnically diverse citizenry is what makes Buffalo unique and adds to the richness of our city," Brown said.
Hispanic Heritage Month runs from mid-September through mid-October.
