Multi-vehicle crash outside plaza

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Elmwood Avenue in North Buffalo was backed up on Monday, right around rush hour, because of a car accident involving multiple vehicles.

Though it isn't clear what happened, at least three vehicles were involved in the crash that happened right outside our North Buffalo studios on Elmwood Avenue. We're waiting for information from police, but at least one person was taken from the scene in an ambulance.

Multiple lanes of traffic were closed as crews worked to clear up the scene, tying up the evening commute.
