BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - The action along the Buffalo waterfront during Navy Week continues to march along. A Navy helicopter had heads turning skyward as it landed Friday in the Queen City.
The MH-60 Seahawk touched down at Templeton Landing. This helicopter is similar to the Blackhawk, but the Seahawk is marinized to withstand a saltwater environment.
Lt. Tom McCurdy explained, "This mission is capable of, most notably due to the wings, anti-surface warfare. Can carry eight missiles. It's capable of search and rescue. And also we do special operations support so we can deliver SEALs, EOD to a zone."
The Seahawk will be in Buffalo until Monday. For a complete list of Navy Week activities, follow this link.
