BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - National Grid says that a malfunction in an underground cable on Bird Avenue has shut off power to 270 customers on Buffalo's west side.

The area without power is the block created by Bird Avenue, Baynes Street, Richmond Avenue and Potomac Avenue. National Grid has crews on the scene working on the problem but they do not know when the power will be restored.
