BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local lawmaker is upping the ante for progress to continue at the Buffalo Creek Casino.
Delaware District Councilman Michael LoCurto is expected to submit a resolution this week, one that could halt the construction of the new casino, which just recently got underway. The resolution claims the revised plans do not meet the commitments made by the Senecas and also cites the issue of casino revenue sharing with the city.
Seneca President Robert Odawi-Porter responded Monday, saying the casino project is in compliance with all laws and added halting the project would put much-needed jobs in jeopardy.
