BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - This was a night of hope at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

The community gathered Friday night for the annual Tree of Hope lighting ceremony. The holiday event included horse drawn carriage rides, ice sculpting, music, a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, and then the crowning moment. A young survivor from Carly's Club for Kids with Cancer counted the crowd down and then lit the night with hope.

>> A horse drawn carriage business was born out of this annual event

>> The ice sculptor explains how he crafts his pieces

>> And the band that played at the ceremony talks about how cancer has touched them
