BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - High school students have been spending some of their time making the holidays more merry.

The students loaded gifts onto a bus at Bishop Timon St. Jude High School in South Buffalo Wednesday morning. Children in 14 families served by the Valley Community Center shared their wish lists, including clothing, books, art supplies and toys.

Guidance counselor Tena McCarthy said, "Each of our homerooms adopts a family, so all of the faculty, staff, everyone in the building, all the boys are all involved in the program."

Families receive food along with the gifts. The school has "adopted" families like these for over 15-years.
