BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Whether it's face-to-face or over the internet, bullying can happen anywhere.
Wednesday, local students united as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. At Cleveland Hill High School where students took part in an assembly as part of "Unity Day." The freshmen students and their mentors are working on a public service announcement for anti-bullying awareness. The video will be shown every day during the morning announcements.
High school counselor Elizabeth Manley said, "One of the big things with bullying is bystanders. So what we want to do to change the way of thinking is to create up-standards and that's our goal today is to change our climate and work against bullying."
Several students and teachers also wore orange as a way to show they are united in the battle against bullying.
