BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It was a little chilly Friday night, but that didn't keep the crowds away from a big event in Delaware Park.
Some 3,000 people turned out for the 14th annual Light the Night Walk to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. This fundraiser celebrates and remembers the many lives touched by cancer. Illuminated balloons symbolize hope: red for supporters, white for cancer survivors and patients, and gold to remember those lost to cancer.
All money raised will support blood cancer research in western New York. News 4's Diana Fairbanks was this year's honorary chair and master of ceremonies.
