BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo tavern that dates back to the mid-1800s is back in business.
Ulrich's on Ellicott Street reopened its doors Tuesday afternoon. The state tax department shut down the business last month for not paying back taxes.
Owner Jim Daley said, "After being closed, when you're not in the every day grind, you can look down and see all the mistakes we made. We're going to be a little tighter. We'll have a smaller menu, still a very good menu, just a lot of financial stuff that it's my job to look at that and I'm going to look at that and run it and run it leaner."
Ulrich's will start serving some food again on Wednesday and return to its full schedule next Monday.
