BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A church van driver, who was charged in connection with the death of a young boy, was found not guilty Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Miriam Shipman was behind the wheel of the van that struck and killed 10-year-old Darpan Niroula on Buffalo's west side last year. Shipman was found not guilty after a non-jury trial on the charges of failure to exercise due care and operating a bus with bad brakes.
The family of the boy also has a civil suit pending.
