BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - More than a hundred young football players from Buffalo are on their way to the Sunshine State, hoping to bring home a championship.
Players and coaches from Buffalo's United Youth Football League packed up and headed out Friday morning. They are the regional champions and will take on teams from across the country, next week.
Regional Director Demeris Johnson said, "As you can see this is extremely important to them. They will get everything from the prestige of being recognized as national champions, the experience of going beyond their local neighborhoods and seeing things. It's a great experience for them and every child over the last three years that has gone have done nothing but say wonderful things about it."
The United Youth Football League is the largest youth football league in the country.
