Buffalo reels in big fishing tournament

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - It's a big weekend for fishing in western New York.
The 2009 Greater Niagara Basseye Celebrity Challenge kicked-off Thursday night with a "boats, bait and beer" dinner and auction at the Rich Renaissance Atrium.
It's a prelude to Friday's big tournament, when two hundred anglers will be fishing for bass and walleye alongside professional fishing guides.
Kelly Kopra of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Western New York said, "With the economy, everything is so tough but western New York just shows how great, giving what a wonderful community we live in, and you can just see by the numbers today we're going to hit a home run."
All money raised from the event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
