Americorps steps up to bat for Statler

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Sending out an S-O-S. Western New York Americorps is now stepping in to help preserve a Buffalo landmark.

S-O-S, or "Save our Statler," is a recently created entity by Americorps. It will coordinate community efforts to help properly preserve the Statler until a long term plan is developed.

Just last week it was revealed that the bankrupt building only had $3,500 remaining in its operating fund.
