TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - A local company, accused of polluting the air and making people sick, has now been targeted by the feds.

Agents swarmed the Tonawanda Coke plant in a surprise raid. The raid follows complaints to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Tonawanda Coke has been under investigation for some time after a D.E.C. study showed high levels of benzene. The plant has been the focus of many protests from nearby residents who claim the plant's pollution is the root of their health problems.
