News 4 app even better with new changes

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Have you checked out the News 4 iPhone app lately? We've made some changes to make it easier to get all the local news, weather, and sports on the go.

The community of iPhone users is constantly growing. The iPhone is essentially a pocket-sized computer and as technology grows, so does the iPhone experience. But you don't need two phones to use our mobile app.

Since the News 4 Buffalo App was launched in May of 2009, there have been over 10,000 iPhone downloads and over 100,000 people-per-month visit the WIVB mobile app on their iPhone or any other mobile device.

Also, WIVB is the only local station to have video available on the mobile website. This first major update gives users easier access to the latest weather forecast at the top of the screen.

The new ugrade has also made it much easier to share the latest news stories on FaceBook and Twitter. It's also much easier for iPhone users to submit newstracker photos or video and send it directly to our newsroom. In addition, iPhone users have the ability to make the text and pictures larger on any news story to improve readability. This upgrade has not taken away any of the popular features like CloseNow and the traffic cameras. In fact, those features are available for all smartphone users.
