NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - A new report says the Seneca Nation of Indians owes some big money to New York State.
The Syracuse Post-Standard reports the Senecas owe close to $23 million for state-funded security detail at the Seneca Niagara Casino in the Falls. $18 million is said to be owed for the Allegany Casino in Salamanca.
The report cites unpaid fees and the state's continued efforts to collect cigarette taxes from Indian Nations.
