NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - Niagara Falls' coolest new attraction is almost ready for the summer.

It may be a slow ride to the top, but the trip down takes less than seven seconds.

The finishing touches are being put on a snow park in Niagara Falls. And their main attraction is a fifty foot multiple lane snow tubing slope hill.

Jennifer Pauly of the Snow Park said, "We've actually had some phone calls saying 'what are you doing bringing snow for June, July and August?' And I'm telling you, we're going to have it year round."

Snow and a skating rink, it's not ice but the synthetic surface is just as easy to skate on.

As for the snow it's the real deal and almost the same kind made at ski slopes, just a little bit more granular. And those lucky enough to give a test run Wednesday are okay with a little snow for the summer.

Meghan Williams said, "It's really fast and like, you spin a lot when your going down it. Yeah, it's really fun."

What does Melissa think about having snow in the middle of summer?

Melissa Williams said, "Cool."

And apparently those just older feel the same way.

But perhaps it's only fitting that the idea behind this winter wonderland for the summer months was thought up by some kids, who happened to be the developers two sons.

And on June 15th when the park opens, $30 dollars will get you two hours of unlimited access to all twelve lanes on the slope.

Next week, members of the media will be invited to try it out but after some serious begging they're letting News 4's Joe Arena go for free.
