BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A man injured in a January 8th shooting on Wohlers Avenue in Buffalo has died, becoming the second homicide victim of 2012 in the Queen City.
January 8th around 6:30 p.m., police say two men getting into a vehicle on Wohlers Avenue near Dodge Street were shot at several times by a lone gunman. The driver, Demario Woodard, 26, drove to Buffalo General Hospital after being struck. His passenger, Adrian Huggins, Jr., 25, was then transferred to ECMC, where he died Friday morning.
The gunman is described as a light-skinned African American man in his mid-teens. He was about 5'2" and wearing a black jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt beneath it, blue jeans and black and white boots. He fled down Dodge Street on foot.
