16 arrested in Jamestown warrant sweep

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Several agencies teamed up on Thursday to arrest sixteen people, most for outstanding warrants.

Jamestown Police worked with State Troopers, Homeland Security, U.S. Marshals and Chautauqua County Probation to conduct a warrant sweep aimed at drug activity within the city.

The following were arrested for third degree criminal sale of a controlled substance:

Michael Taylor, 42
Dennison Lawrence, 64
Silk Spencer, 25
Edward Beish, 23
Adifah Wilkes, 29
Carlos Rivera, 46
Juan Perez, 38
Joshua Plefrey, 23
DeMario Watkins, 31
Jason French, 38
Stephanize Czarniak, 22
Devon Cottom, 29

Also arrested were 35-year-old Shane Messere for second degree criminal possession of marijuana, 16-year-old Timothy Silk for second degree criminal sale of marijuana, and 18-year-old Kaitlyn George on a probation warrant.

Police say they expect more arrests as a result of this sweep.
