KIANTONE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Four teens were arrested on Friday after troopers found drugs inside their car and say it appeared they had been snorting Adderall.
State Police pulled over the car driven by Cordell Wheeler, 17, of Randolph on Rt. 60 in Kiantone. While speaking to Wheeler, troopers say they saw a straw with white powder in plain view in the center console and loose marijuana on the floorboard. Wheeler and the three occupants of his vehicle were brought out and searched.
Peter Shaw Broughan, 17, of Randolph allegedly had a digital scale and five grams of marijuana on him. Tyler Griffin, 17, of Randolph allegedly had four grams of marijuana in his pockets. No drugs were found on Nicholas Marczynski, 17, of Napoli.
Inside the vehicle, troopers found a whole Adderall pill, a crushed Adderall pill and a straw containing white reside, and a bag with 16 grams of marijuana. As a result, all four were charged with seventh degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Griffin, Broughan, and Wheeler were additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and Broughan was charged separately with second degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
