500+ ticketed on St Paddy's Day weekend

BATAVIA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Troopers at Troop A in Batavia handed out over 500 tickets this St. Patrick's Day weekend.

Beginning Friday and lasting through Sunday, State Police began a campaign targeting speeding, aggressive and distracted drivers. In all, troopers handed out 567 tickets over St. Patrick's Day weekend:

166 tickets for speeding
15 tickets for DWI
15 tickets for cell phone use/texting
45 tickets for unlicensed/suspended driver
