$500,000 bail for alleged sexual abuser

LILY DALE, N.Y. (WIVB) - A 53-year-old man who lives on the southern tier is locked up on half a million dollars bail after authorities charged him with abusing children.

David Goodworth of Lily Dale allegedly had inappropriate sexual contact with children and has been charged with two counts of first degree course of sexual conduct against a child and first degree reckless endangerment. First degree course of sexual conduct means authorities believe Goodworth sexually abused a child for more than three months who was less than 11-years-old.

Goodworth was arrested Thursday and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. State Police say their investigation continues and they are currently looking for other children who may have been victimized by Goodworth. Anyone with information should call: 716-665-3113
