LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Lockport homeowner is in trouble with the law for having too many animals.
The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police responded to the home on Royal Parkway for a juvenile complaint. While investigating the complaint, authorities discovered 60 small dogs in the home Saturday night.
The homeowner was charged with a Town Ordinance Violation and Harboring Animals by the Town of Lockport Dog Control Officer. Additional charges are pending.
The case is being handled by SPCA Niagara, Town of Lockport Dog Control Officer, and the Building Inspector.
