Accidental 911 call leads to arrest

ORANGEVILLE, N.Y. (WIVB) - Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies say they seized marijuana and paraphernalia from a private camping area, after a man accidentally dialed 911 while he was sleeping.
Deputies say they went to an Orangeville address after receiving a hang-up call, around 4:20 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, they say 51-year-old Edwin L. Thompson was found alone at the camp. Police say they found two marijuana pipes, a plastic box with marijuana in it and a plastic baggie with marijuana in it.
Thompson was arrested and charged with one count of unlawful possession of marijuana.
