Career criminal admits to Ponzi scheme

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A lengthy prison term awaits a career criminal.

38-year-old Noah Shapiro now admits to running a check kiting and Ponzi scheme that netted more than $400,000 a six month period.

Shapiro, who has been convicted of financial crimes in the past, faces up to 12 years in prison when he's sentenced next month.
