Cops believe robbery triggered shooting

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police believe a robbery triggered a deadly shooting. Detectives say a 20-year-old victim was a passenger inside a vehicle on Deerfield Avenue, just before midnight, when two men got in the backseat.

Police believe the fatal shot was fired during a struggle.

The victim’s name is not being released. Anyone with information is asked to call the confidential tipline at 847-2255.
