ELMA, N.Y. (WIVB) - Erie county Sheriff's deputies say a local teen was breaking the law while breakdancing at a party in Elma.

18-year-old Ryan Baczkiewicz faced a judge for three different charges. The most serious is a criminal mischief charge for something that happened on Porterville Road in Elma. Police say Baczkiewicz showed up at a party thrown by two sisters on Valentine's Day, as an uninvited guest, and began breakdancing on the floor.

Chief Michael Pliszka of the Erie County Sheriff's Office said, "Was doing these maneuvers with some very sharp belt buckle of some kind that created a significant amount of damage to these floorings in the residence."

Cheryl Chapman is Ryan's mother. She says she got a call from the girls' mother on Sunday asking her to pay $5,000 to help repair the damaged hardwood floors.

"If I didn't want to take care of it that way, she would call her friend in the Sheriff's department and file charges," said Cheryl.

Hours later, Ryan was arrested and taken to the Holding Center.

Chief Pliszka said, "He was described by them as being somewhat intoxicated and somewhat uncooperative with the other people in the house."

Ryan's mother has a lot of questions, like, why did it take a week before charges against her son were filed?

Cheryl said, "If he trespassed into this house and started causing damage and they couldn't get rid of him, why didn't someone call the police right then and there and have him removed and arrested?"

Ryan Bacziewicz was released, but will be back in court on March 22.
