BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police have made an arrest in an accident that caused a mother to lose her leg.

Steven Cavarello is now in custody.

Police said he struck Sarah Gregory on South Park Avenue back in September.

Her left leg had to be amputated.

Cavarello is charged with vehicular assault and driving under the influence of drugs.
