Four arrested for unemployment fraud

CLARENCE, NY (WIVB) - State Police in Clarence arrested the four individuals for fraudulent unemployment claims, filed with The New York State Department of Labor. All were charged with Grand Larceny and Falsifying Business Records 1st (both Felonies). All were processed at Sate Police Clarence and all charges are returnable to Buffalo City Court.

Arrested today were:

FRANK GARLAND III, age 43, 64 Urban St. Buffalo NY. Garland collected $6,641.25 in unemployment benefits from April 21, 2008 to October 26, 2008.

CARLOS GILMORE, age 53, 33 Countess Buffalo NY. Gilmore collected $4,260.50 in unemployment benefits from April 23, 2007 to January 11, 2009.

JOSEPH G. PEZZINO, age 54, 7734 Erie Rd. Derby NY. Pezzino collected $5,265 in unemployment benefits from August 04, 2008 to November 02, 2008.

CHRISTOPHER M. SMIGIELSKI, age 30, 86 Bellevue Ave. Cheektowaga NY. Smigielski collected $2,580.25 from March 21, 2005 to April 06, 2008.
