BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - There has not been much information about Christopher Rudow up until now.
Buffalo Police found his body in his apartment on Tuesday.
Now his friends are looking for answers.
Christopher Rudow moved from New York City to Buffalo about six
years ago.
The 32 year old worked at GEICO and deejayed on the side.
Friend, Nicole Dalton said, "He had this set up that was amazing. He would have, how many trunks of it? I think he had two to three big professional crates."
Nicole and Shamark Dalton told News 4 that Chris was always the life of any party, even when he wasn't a DJ.
"Chris was a very energetic person. He was very friendly, he was
a type of person who would like make his presence known no matter
what the venue was," explained another friend, Shamark Dalton.
Shamark worked with Chris at GEICO in New York.
He was at work when he found out Chris had been murdered on Tuesday.
Police discovered his body in his apartment in the Lofts at Elk Terminal in Buffalo.
He died of blunt force trauma.
"I didn't really know what to think as far as how it happened. It was really a feeling you can't describe because he was such a great person," Shamark remarked.
Other friends also said Chris was a well loved member of the community and a member of the gay community.
The homicide remains under investigation and comes on the heels
of two other cases involving possible hate crime charges.
On New Year's Eve, a 20 year old man was assaulted at the
Walden Galleria.
Lindsay Harmon was also attacked on New Year's Eve.
"I have no reason to believe that because I know Chris has never had any problems with anybody. I mean anything's possible but it never crossed my mind to be perfectly honest."
"I didn't even think of a hate crime and I pray to God it wasn't that."
