Fundraiser in name of woman found dead

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Loved ones want to find justice for a Lewiston woman found dead in Buffalo.

Friends and family of 20 year old Amanda Wienckowski held a "Fill the Boot" fundraiser on Saturday at intersections in Cheektowaga, Wheatfield and the Town of Tonawanda.

That money will help launch a private investigation into her death.

Wienckowski was found dead in a Buffalo garbage tote last winter.

Police said she died of a drug overdose.

Her family insists she was murdered.
