BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A woman charged with a hate crime in a New Year's Day stabbing will face a judge.

Suzanna Grover is facing a second-degree assault and hate crimes charge.

Investigators say Grover intentionally attacked Lindsay Harmon, because of a perception regarding her sexual orientation.

Harmon was stabbed in the eye on New Year's morning, outside a bar in Allentown.
