ROCHESTER, NY - The father of a Geneseo college student has filed a $2.5 million dollar lawsuit stemming from the alcohol poisoning death of his son.
Hagop Partamian filed the suit on September 30 in Queens where he lives.
His son, Arman Partamian, 19, was a student at the State University College at Geneseo when he was found dead in an off-campus frat house following an initiation process that involved drinking games. The student's blood alcohol content varied from .39 to .55 in various parts of his body.
One of the defendants in the case, Daniel Wech, 22, from Williamsville was initially charged with a felony, but that charge was dismissed. He pleaded guilty to first degree unlawfully dealing witha minor, an was sentenced to three months of weekends in jail, a $1,000 fine plus court costs.
The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle reports that among the other defendents in the civil case is Adam Brownstein of North Tonawanda.
