NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - The teen accused of murdering two fellow classmates nearly thirty years ago will get a new trial.
Robbie Drake's murder retrial is expected to begin on Monday. Drake, now 45, was just 17 when prosecutors say he shot and killed Amy Smith and Steven Rosenthal in December of 1981. All three attended North Tonawanda High School.
Drakes original conviction was overturned last year on the grounds of prosecutorial misconduct. Drake has spent the past 27 years in prison.
