Erie County Probation Officers performed five warrantless searches of probationers’ homes in Depew Monday. Working with Depew Police, they seized 15 weapons, prescription medications and hypodermic needles. One arrest was made as a result of the searches, and one is pending.

Last week, in another round of warrantless searches, Probation Officers seized numerous weapons, drugs and money at the home of a convicted felon. A loaded 12 gauge shot gun was founding the living room of the home.

In all, five homes were searched and three arrests were made during the raid by the warrant squad with assistance from Town of Tonawanda Police and Border Patrol officers.
