Pedestrian accident sent to grand jury

A grand jury is now investigating the case against a man accused of being high on drugs when he hit a pedestrian.
Steven Cavarello is charged with vehicular assault and driving under the influence.
Investigators say he hit 31-year-old Sarah Gregory as she was crossing South Park Avenue, last September.
Gregory lost her left leg in the accident.
She was released from the hospital on Friday.
