BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4's Al Vaughters reports the stand off in Buffalo's Days Park neighborhood has ended peacefully. This was not a hostage situation.
Police responded to reports from neighbors, about activity on Maryland Street.
Neighbors reported that a number of people were bring boxes into the home.
Police responded and determined fire power was needed so called in the SWAT team.
A man and woman, both in their 50s, closed themselves in the house.
Both of the individuals have outstanding warrants against them, at least one felony warrant.
After about an hour, the man and woman gave up.
They are now in police custody.
Buffalo Police had cordoned off off several streets around Days Park late Thursday morning.
News 4 has learned that a suspect in the area had made threats to police.
A SWAT team and Hostage Management team were both called to the scene.
