JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) - Jamestown Police are working with the FBI to investigate the abduction of a 12-year-old girl from her home around the Harris Avenue and Benedict Street area in Jamestown in the early morning hours on Friday.
Police believe the perpetrator drove the child out of the area of Scott Hill Road in the town of Portland. The child is now safe and with family, and she is assisting in the investigation.
Police are looking for anyone who may have information on a white male operating a newer model 2007-2010 gold or bronze colored minivan in or around that area in the early morning hours on Friday. If you saw something, Jamestown Police ask you call them at 483-7537.
The investigation continues and police are not releasing any other information at this time.
