TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) - News 4 continues to get more information on the bottle bombs found in Tonawanda Thursday.

Friday afternoon News 4 spoke to police who now say they are taking a closer look at the severity of the crime.

Police say they've questioned five teenagers over the eight bottle bombs found Thursday, in the Town of Tonawanda.

Five were found on the Brighton Park golf course, three were on a field at Ken-Ton school district's Green Acres building.

The eight recovered devices did not go off, and no one was injured.

We know investigators collected evidence and are scheduled to meet with the Erie County District Attorney on Monday.

Authorities tell News 4 the meeting will help them decide how to move forward with charges.

At this time officials are not releasing the teens names.

However, News 4 spoke to former Erie County District Attorney Frank Clark.

He suspects the teens will face serious charges.

"The likelihood is that the charge will be a felony," Clark said. "If they are under 16 the entire matter is sent to family court and they are treated as juvenile offenders."

Clark explained, "If they are 16 or older the matter is referred to superior court, that either county or superior and they could receive jail sentences if convicted."
