LeRoy woman given five year term

A Le Roy woman was sentenced to five years in jail on Wednesday for selling a strong narcotic patch to another woman that lead to her death.

Joann M. Rusby, 51, appeared in a Genesee County Court to hear her fate.

Rusby was arrested July 1 after a Le Roy Police Department investigation into the March death of Yvonne Hart, .

Hart died as a result of placing a fentanyl patch on her skin. Fentanyl is a painkiller that can be 100 times more powerful than morphine.
