CARLTON, N.Y. (WIVB) - An Orleans County Sheriff's deputy is under arrest, charged in a domestic violence incident involving his estranged wife, who is an assistant district attorney.
State Police tell News 4 that 37-year-old Jason Silleman was arrested on Tuesday on 26 charges, accused of first degree criminal contempt of court, 12 counts of criminal contempt of court, 12 counts of aggravated harassment, and one count of second-degree menacing. Police allege he violated an order of protection and threatened his estranged wife with a gun at her home in Carlton.
Silleman is being prosecuted by Genesee County District Attorney Lawrence Friedman. The Orleans County Sheriff's office says Silleman is still being paid while they conduct an internal investigation.
