BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Shots were fired early Saturday morning in Buffalo’s University District. Police say the shooting took place at 2:20 a.m. at Main Street and Englewood Avenue.
Shortly after the shooting, about six blocks away, police say two UB wrestlers repeatedly punched and kicked another man. The wrestlers are facing assault charges.
After the violent night in Buffalo , residents told News 4 they are fearing for their safety. Buffalo Police Spokesman Mike DeGeorge said, “Police regularly patrol the area, especially during weekends. Sometimes officers are there but people don't know it.”
