BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - Buffalo Police are looking for clues after the body of a man was found inside a burning car.
The victim found inside the burning car Tuesday night, is identified as 34-year-old Shawn Wilson.
News 4 has learned this is the same Shawn Wilson who was shot on September 20th, in Amherst.
Wilson was shot outside an apartment complex on Allenhurst Road in September, he was found lying in the street. A suspect was never arrested.
Firefighters were called to the 100 block of Roma Avenue, off East Delavan, around 2 a.m.
A red Ford Taurus was engulfed in flames.
Shawn Wilson's body was found stuffed inside the car.
Ivory Fleming, who lost a song to violence in 2009, says, once the flames weer out an the crime tape went up, she says she knew there had to be a body inside.
Fleming said, "My heart just sunk. Like who's child, brother, sister, father, who is this person?"
"I'm hurting, I really am. I don't know who this person is, I don't know who the family is, but I'm hurting because I've been there. My son might not have been burnt up but he was violently murdered, like this person. His or her life may have been taken for no reason at all, no matter what the circumstances behind it, this should never have happened," said Fleming.
An autopsy has determined that Wilson was shot and stabbed repeatedly.
