NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) - The case against the former Niagara Falls Mayor is gaining momentum.

Current and former members of the City Council have been notified they will be called to testify in Vince Anello's upcoming corruption trial. The former mayor is charged with conspiracy, obstruction and failure to provide honest services.

The charges stem from his dealings with Tuscarora businessman and developer, Joseph "Smokin' Joe" Anderson. Jury selection for that trial is expected to begin in June.
