BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) - A Buffalo woman facing hate crime charges for a New Year's day stabbing appeared in city court for a felony hearing, Tuesday morning.
Suzanne Grover, 21, is charged with second-degree assault and hate-crime charges.
Police say she stabbed 29-year-old Lindsay Harmon in the eye outside Roxy's nightclub early New Year's day.
Prosecutors believe Grover attacked Harmon because of her sexual orientation.
Lindsay's father Michael Harmon said, "I'm just concerned about her health, that's the only thing I'm concerned about. Everything else is just, I have nothing to say about that, so, what they do is just, I'm just worried about her health and her well being."
Grover is due back in court on February 8.
